painting, maybe.

painting

picture of what I’ve been up to this week-end :) I like the result in ink, but I was told to paint in black&white in a realistic way. It’s difficult to find the right colors and not excessing with darker shade. let’s hope I’ll be able to finish it today so that I can focus on other projects.

btw I need to go out and shot something. I’m bored to take self-portraits. I really need a model :)

Good evening, Flo! (Though I think it is past midnight, where you are.) Wow, this is beautiful!! The shaded version reminds me of an Escher print…if you look at the head of the being, it looks like a bird in flight, coming in for a landing (you see the wings and tail with your peripheral vision, and it gives the bird-like illusion)…but then as you look at the body, it does appear to be humanoid, with the additional characteristics of a bird…the entire drawing is like an optical illusion! But it is beautiful and atmospheric…and it seems alive, not static at all, like many drawings you see elsewhere. It reminds me of an illustration for a fantasy novel. Well done, Flora, and lovely!! :) Chris R.

ps—could you advertise for a model to photograph? Or do you have a local publication where people advertise their desire for certain types of work? Or…how about a friend!!! :) I bet you could find a friend who would let you snap shots of them, at least until you find a pro!! :) CR
